About

The Bell and Crown in Zeals is the first pub we got our hands on. The pub sits just off the A303 in the village of Zeals, a convenient spot for a Sunday roast and a local ale or two after a stroll around the nearby and impressive gardens at Stourhead House. Both GM Zoe and Head Chef Jamie have moved to the Bell from other parts of the business. It means they know how we like to do things and the atmosphere we like to create. They’re a seriously good team, they get along well and they both have great ideas.

Following a pretty serious renovation project that we carried out at the beginning, The Bell is now the cosiest we have, and now has six complete simple and stylish letting rooms on top - it’s nice to be able to finally offer guests the option to stay too. Like all our pubs, the outside dining area is covered with a large stretch tent and the space changes with the seasons. In the summer, guests are blessed with bright yellow views of rape seed in the arable field opposite; and in the winter guests can cosy up under a heater as the mist descends around them. The Bell is a place to breathe in the country air and really relax.
